The Draft Elmore County Comprhensive Plan states in Section V page 8
that the County intends to:
"Utilize code enforcement programs to eliminate
blighted areas"
The home pictured in the photo was featured in a "60-Minute" episode as a "blighted" home. Considered substandard for a community that wanted upscale houses, the home was scheduled to be torn down to make way for higher price houses. The mayor of the Ohio community acknowledged that “higher price housing” would mean more property tax revenue for the city.
